Following their disappointing 1-1 draw to the visitors West Bromwich Albion Fc, Liverpool Fc (The Reds) are set to play their last Match of 2020 against the hosts Newcastle United Fc in the Premier League.
Date: 30 December 2020 (Wednesday) ; Time: 8:00 p.m (BST) kick-off ; Venue: Newcastle, England.
After recovering from their injuries; Xherdan Shaqiri and James Milner were among the unused substitutes for the clash against the visitors West Bromwich Albion Fc.
The Duo however might be expected to be named in the Starting XI for the Newcastle United Fc Away Fixture.
Also, there might be likelihood that some of the Players that were in the West Bromwich Albion Fc home Fixture would be rested.
As such, Players like Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi are likely to feature.
Also, Reds Youth Academy Players like Rhys Williams, Nathaniel Phillips and Neco Williams are expected to be named in the Starting XI.
The Reds has won all their matches since they were been held to a 1-1 by the hosts Newcastle United Fc (The Magpies) around October 2017 (2017-18 Season).
Reds Team Injuries and Suspensions: After being substituted during the Second Half of the West Bromwich Albion Encounter, Joël Matip will be sidelined for the immediate future. The Reds are once again left with no recognized Senior Centre Back Players in the side.
Naby Keïta was sidelined prior to the West Bromwich Albion Match due to a muscle related issue. The Duo are expected to miss the Magpies Away Fixture.
Since injuring their knees during the Second Half of the FC Midtjylland Away Clash, both Diogo Jota and Konstantinos Tsimikas faces lengthy absences as they are expected to return around the second week of February 2021.
After undergoing successful surgeries on their injured knees, Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk remains sidelined for the foreseeable future. Van Dijk however has stepped up his rehabilitation.
The Club has been reluctant to place a timescale for the return of Van Dijk and Gomez.
After sustaining his knee injury during the Everton Away Match, Thiago Alcântara continues to be sidelined for the remainder of this year but he is edging closer to regaining his full fitness.
Verdict: Unlike West Bromwich Albion Fc Home Game, the Magpies under Steve Bruce are expected to play a much more expansive football in their home ground.
The Reds has done a commendable job after being forced to negotiate a plethora of injuries. The lack of Senior Centre Back Options is understandable as Van Dijk, Matip and Gomez are sidelined for the immediate future.
However, the Reds can ill afford to lose matches or drop matches as a result of having to wait too long to make the right changes by Jürgen Klopp.
Matches can be lost within minutes as showcased by the visitors Atalanta BC.
With frail Joël Matip (once again) being sidelined for an indeterminate period, the Reds must seriously consider bringing in either David Alaba or David Upamecano during the January Transfer Window 2021.

I hope Klopp will not play Curtis or Neco for the Newcastle match. Taki, Shaq and Millie are proven players that Klopp should never overlook.
We had an avoidable horrible performance which could have been avoided had Curtis been substituted before first half.
Curtis has been going under the radar much like Origi. Come on #Reds
I agree with the Author. Matip is too frail and we cannot depend on him. I hope we can get Alaba soon.
Millie cannot play for us forever. Alaba gives us a lot of options in the midfield and defence. Alaba’s salary requirements will never be a problem for our club.
Just seeing Curtis or Neco being named in the starting line-up scares the hell out of me.
