After their shock loss to the visitors Atalanta BC in the Champions League 2020-21 Group D Match, Liverpool Fc are set to play their Premier League Match against the hosts Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.
Date: 08 November 2020 (Saturday) ; Time: 12:30 p.m (BST) kick-off ; Venue: Brighton, England.
The return of Mohamed Salah and Rhys Williams for the Atalanta BC Home Match greatly alleviated the Club’s mounting injuries and health concerns but the real issue was the lackadaisical performances from players like Nico Williams, Curtis Jones and particularly Divock Origi.
Jürgen Klopp lined up the team with youngsters and benchwarmers for the Atalanta BC Home Match. However; given what’s at stake, so it is unlikely that Klopp would repeat the same but then again, the German Coach can be unpredictable with naming his starting XI.
This match will be the first time for Adam Lallana to play against his former side after the Englishman departed Liverpool Fc (The Reds) as a Free Agent to join Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club (The Seagulls) before the start of the season.
Besides being a affable person and still maintains his friendships with his former teammates, Lallana had many fond memories as he was part of the Reds side that won: Champions League 2018-19 Title, UEFA Super Cup 2019, FIFA Club World Cup 2019 and Premier League Title 2019-20.
Yet by the time the match is about to start, all the loyalties and old friendships will be set aside as Lallana will be eager to make up for some of his lost time and playing opportunities against his former side.
The Last time when these two sides faced each other, the Reds won comfortably beating the hosts Seagulls 1-3 but this time, the Reds can be sure for a stern test as the Defending Premier League Champions from the Hosts.
Reds Team Injuries and Suspensions: Naby Keïta is currently sidelined as the Guinean is recovering from his hamstring injury sustained during the Leicester City Fc home game.
Xheridan Shaqiri is also ruled out due to a muscle injury sustained while on international duty with Switzerland.
After undergoing successful surgeries on their injured knees; Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk continue to be sidelined for an indeterminate period.
No timescale has been set for Van Dijk, Gomez, Keïta and Shaqiri.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is currently recovering from his hamstring injury and is due to return around the latter part of December 2020.
After missing out on the Atalanta BC Home Match; the duo Captain Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcântara will be expected to return back in action after recovering from their respective niggles and injuries but Thiago may not yet be fully fit in time for the Saturday Match.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also edging closer to full fitness after he picked up an injury in the training during the Preseason in Austria.
Verdict: Klopp can be unpredictable with naming his starting XI. But by not showing due respect to the visitors Atalanta BC, the Reds paid the price of bringing on inexperienced players and benchwarmers.
Like Last Season, the Reds needs to get back their ruthless edge by playing their best Playing XI and after the match or the desired result is secured, then bring on the Youngsters and Benchwarmers.
The Reds will need to work hard to beat the Seagulls especially with Lallana on their side.

Since the 70’s I fell in love with the Reds.
Thank heavens for RedsKop. It’s no wonder this website has became quickly popular even in Australia.
Well done to the Redskop Admins for making this lovely website. It’s really well designed and whichever information I am looking for, I can find them here.
I am sick and tired of reading biased websites that praises crappy players that are simply overrated and publishes disingenuous contents about anything.
At the moment; with all the injuries, our boys are having their backs against the wall and I am very worried that other teams will take advantage of our situation!
The boys will need to work their socks off to beat the Seagulls. Come on Reds.
Yes, agreed that it was a shocking loss for #Reds but we will bounce back.
It’s great to see Mo Salah back. However, we shouldn’t be too reliant on him and expect him to play always at his best.
The youngsters need to share the responsibility. Hope we can pick up another routine win over the Seagulls without much fuss.
